As a father, I don't have a lot of time for exercise.
That means that running, swimming or biking are out of the question.
I had to find something I could do every day, in the house which helped me develop some strength and didn't take too much time.
I think that kettlebells are a great way to do that and recommend anyone try them.
I do recommend you start with about 5 hours of classes with someone who knows what they are doing.
I have found that instructors with a certification from Strong First are great.
The setup I have is very efficient in terms of time and money.
I see an instructor for one hour, during that time we work on 1 or 2 new movements.
He then gives me a set of work to do for the following 6 to 8 weeks.
At the end of those 8 weeks, I see him again.
Rince and repeat!
Over the past couple of years I have seen insane improvement in my strength. I didn't realize how weak I was until I tried doing some movements with 16kg. I can do those same movements with 32kg now! Even better, I haven't gotten bulky at all. If anything my body is slightly more lean - no big changes in physique.
This calendar tracks my KB sessions with short comments.
